Knit Glass with Carol Milne

Seattle based Carol Milne is the lone pioneer in the field of knitted glass.

Pushing the limits of her material through persistent and relentless experimentation, she developed a variation of the lost wax casting process to cast knitted work in glass. Combining her passion for knitting with her love for cast glass sculpture, her knitted work is technically complicated and unlike any cast glass work being done today. Her demanding teaching schedule includes The Glass Furnace, Istanbul and Urban Glass in Brooklyn. More work can be seen on her website

Carol will be visiting New Zealand for the first time, speaking at the NZSAG conference and running 2 workshops at Di Tocker’s purpose built glass casting studio in the Waikato. There will be 2 workshops with dates fitting around the glass conference to be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend 2016.

Workshop Dates:
Workshop One: Friday 14, Saturday 15, Sunday 16 and (half day) Friday 21 October
Workshop Two: Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 and (half day) Tuesday 25 October
