Upcoming Exhibiton at ArtsPost, Hamiton

A glass exhibiton by six female glass artists from around the Waikato will be shown in the Chartwell Gallery at ArtsPost, Hamilton.

The artists are Karin Barr, Michelle Judge, Heather Olesen, Colleen Ryan-Priest, Nic Salt and Di Tocker

It is likely all the artists will be exhibiting new works.

Visit an exhibition featuring top New Zealand Glass Makers at The Whakatane District Museum and Gallery. The exhibition features new work from Di Tocker.

This annual award has a first prize of $5000 drawing enthusiastic glass makers to enter from all over New Zealand.

The exhibition runs from the 14th of August to the 10th of September.
Whakatane District Museum and Gallery opening hours are 10-4.30 Monday to Friday and 11-3 weekends and public holidays.

Glass Casting Workshop - August 2010

During this 2 1/2 day workshop you will learn the art of lost wax casting, mould making process, kiln loading and firing and simple finishing techniques to lead crystal glass. This course is suitable for beginners with no glass experience and more advanced glass workers.
